Scavenger Hunt Magic: Crown Confusion & Fabulous Winners

Our annual scavenger hunt was another success — an interactive way to explore our host city, proudly supported by Xennox Diamonds and Dymocks!

There’s something fun about bringing people together for a bit of lighthearted competition — and this year’s Celestial Festival Scavenger Hunt was no exception!

From bookshop clues to fantasy-themed riddles hidden across Queen Street Mall, we were blown away by the enthusiasm from every corner. One clue that really got the conversation going? The elusive crown at Cartier. It sparked plenty of debate and we loved every minute of it.

As part of keeping things fun and fair, we designed the hunt with a mix of obligatory and optional questions. This allowed everyone to play at their own pace and comfort level.

To select our winners, all eligible names were placed into a “spin the wheel” draw, and we spun for the top three — live during the Queen Street Mall Fashion Runway (yes, it was livestreamed!). We love that little mix of chance, so it’s not just about the fastest or the most competitive — it’s about encouraging everyone to give it a go annd be as inclusive as possible.

Congratulations to our runners-up: Michelle G, Jill F, who won Dymocks vouchers for $100 and Lara T our grand winner of the $7,500 Xennox Diamonds ring! As luck would have it, these wonderful winners were actually present in the mall at the time, so we were able to capture some brilliant snaps of the moment.

A huge thank you to my quiz master Eleena who helps run the backend of this competition with fairness and care. I never see the entries myself, so everything is handled in the most impartial way possible.
