Celestial Paint By Numbers
Congratulations on your Celestial Festival purchase. We can't wait to see your finished version. Be sure to share the process with us and have fun!
Setting up

-
Prior to commencing your project, please ensure all creases are removed by ironing on the reverse side of the canvas in a low to medium heat.
-
Arrange your work space in a quiet and peaceful space with proper lighting
-
Place a drop cloth or newspaper beneath the canvas in case paint drips through to the desk. This way you can relax into the right headspace not stressing about any potential mess.
-
To avoid paint patches on your clothes, wear your Celestial Apron (or make sure you choose to wear an old t-shirt)
-
Arrange your tools on a wide spread table at a reachable distance. This includes the Paint by Numbers kit, any additional paint brushes, Water cup, paint palette, cleansing cloth or paper towels to dry your brush on.
-
Lastly a glass or mug of your favourite beverage :)
Method

-
Fill in each area with the paint colour its number corresponds to
-
Start painting from the top and gradually work your way down. If you start from bottom, you tend to get your arms and sleeves touching the paint which is critical to avoid otherwise you will end with a smudgy result.
Clean the Brushes
-
Each colour in the kit is carefully picked to contribute to the full and final contrast of the portrait.
-
By not properly rinsing the paint off your bristles all the way to its base, another shade of colour is likely to mix and forms - changing the overall finished piece.
-
Always make sure to rinse your brush thoroughly and dry on paper towels after each colour block is completed

Close the lids

-
Paint by Number kits comes with tiny transparent tubs of paint with snap on lids.
-
As you may simultaneously work with two colour tubs open at a time, the paint can dry out faster as the tubs are small in size.
-
Make sure to work with only one tub open.
-
If the paint were to accidentally dry out add a little water and stir until the original consistency returns.
Use two coats
-
As you paint use double coating to cover the number painted over.
-
Once your coat has dried, you may need a further coat of paint in any areas where the number still appears
Relax into your painting

If you’re a busy bee spinning around the clock with endless
duties, you may find yourself convinced to rush through
your Paint by Numbers.

done in one go nor should you; so just relax and enjoy the
